Objectives: the University of Manitoba has established a perennial grain program headed by Doug Cattani. He has followed two intermediate wheatgrass (Thinopyrum intermedium) (Kernza®) in nurseries established in Carman for up to three reproductive years after transplanting to ascertain the sustainability of seed yields.
